How we handle your information.
This notice explains what personal data Bridgeline Africa Ltd collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and what your rights are under UK data protection law.
Last updated: 11 May 2026
/ 01Who we are
Bridgeline Africa Ltd is a company incorporated in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at partnerships@bridgelineafrica.com with any questions about how we handle your data.
/ 02What we collect
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide, namely:
- Your name
- Your organisation
- Your work email address
- Your role (optional)
- Which service you're interested in
- The content of your message
We do not place tracking cookies on this site, and we do not use behavioural advertising. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may collect standard server-level information (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) for security and performance purposes.
/ 03Why we collect it
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Send the materials, scope, or information you've asked for
- Follow up about a potential engagement, where you've indicated interest
- Keep a record of our correspondence for our own commercial and legal purposes
/ 04The legal basis
We process your data on the basis of legitimate interests — specifically, responding to a business enquiry you have initiated. Where you have specifically asked to receive materials or be contacted further, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
/ 05Who we share it with
We use a small number of carefully chosen third-party providers to operate the site and respond to enquiries. These providers act as data processors on our behalf:
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Formspree's privacy notice is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides security and performance services. Cloudflare's privacy notice is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site. Google may receive your IP address as part of font requests. Their policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Beyond these processors, we do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or any other purpose.
/ 06International transfers
Some of our processors are based outside the United Kingdom (Formspree and Cloudflare are US-headquartered). Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place — including UK and EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
/ 07How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected — typically up to three years from your last contact with us, after which we delete it. If we enter a commercial engagement with you, separate retention terms will apply to that engagement and will be set out in our contract.
/ 08Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask us what data we hold about you (a "subject access request")
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Ask us to stop processing your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent was the basis
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data
To exercise any of these rights, email us at partnerships@bridgelineafrica.com. We'll respond within one month.
/ 09Changes to this notice
